Mukta Singh Lama Tamang is an Anthropologist and teaches at Central Department of Anthropology, Tribhuvan University. He received his PhD from Cornell University. He has done extensive research on indigenous peoples, Tamang society, history and culture as well as social development in Nepal.
Sanjila Moktan is a Researcher at Martin Chautari. She has an MA in Sociology from Tribhuvan University. She has contributed research articles in journals and edited volumes. She has also co-compiled several bibliographies that have been published in the website of Martin Chautari. She is currently doing research on the history of access to public schools for Tamangs.
Sangram S. Lama Tamang, PhD, is a senior development expert who has been working for the last 30 years with the Nepal Government Ministries and Departments, international development partners such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UN agencies and INGOs in different capacities. His major areas of work include governance, gender equality and social inclusion, planning and budgeting, participatory and inclusive development and so on. He received his Ph.D. from the Tribhuvan University in 2009.
Sharmila Shyangtan is a PhD candidate in Development and Sustainability Program at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) University, Thailand. Her research focuses on indigenous peoples, education, livelihood, development, and sustainability. She received MPhil from Kathmandu University. Her dissertation is entitled “Lived Experience Tamang Women in Higher Education: A Narrative Inquiry.” She was a receipient of the Alexandra Storm Foundation and NOMA/NORAD, Norway scholarship for higher education.
Uday Thing Tamang is a Lecturer at the Department of Anthropology, Tri-Chandra Multiple College. He is involved in various research in Tamang society and social development in Nepal. He has completed Masters Degree in Anthropology from Tribhuvan University.
Pema Moktan is a youth leader who is invovled in supporting Tamang and Indigenous youth for empowermnet and skill development. His research interest is on cultural heritage preservation and has published articles and co-authored a book. He also has edited various magazines and online portals. He has Bachelor's degree in Education and Rural Development. He also supports Buddhist meditation and learning programs.
Seteman Tamang is a researcher involved in social research. He received Master's Degree in Political Science. He is currently working on thesis research leading to MPhil in Anthropology from Tribhuvan University. His research focuses on inclusive representation in diplomatic service in Nepal.
Kumari Lama is an Assistant Professor of English in Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Tribhuvuan University, essayist, and a critic. She has MPhil and MA in English Literature from TU, Nepal and MBA in Human Resource Management from The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, United Kingdom. She is a published writer with collection of essay, Ujyalo Andhakar (2014). She has published many journal articles. Lama regularly contributes to national papers raising the issues of gender, indigenous community, and marginalized groups. She is an editor of Asmita Hamro magazine and runs a literary forum Aahwan.
Raju Shyangtan is a poet and journalist active in social and political movements. He received MA in Sociology from Tribhuvan University. Involved in research and feature reporting on marginalized communities and land dispossession, he is an editor and coordinator of the weekly “Jhan Naya” Supplement of Naya Patrika National Daily. His first collected volume of poems appeared in “O Peng Dorje,” and he has contributed articles to various journals.
Tek Bahadur Dong has MPhil. in Anthropology from the Central Department of Anthropology, Tribhuvan University. He has worked as a research fellow and ethnographic field researcher since 2009 with various organizations. He has published articles on affirmative action, ritual practices, and tourism. Dong is currently working as a Research Associate at Social Science Baha for the research on preparedness and planning for Mountain Hazard and Risk Chain in Nepal.

Tilak Lama is an entrepreneur and expert on the tourism and hospitality sector. He is also the Founder and Adviser of Tamang Rimthim Tourism Network, Kathmandu. He served as a member of Nepal Tamang Ghedung, industry and trade department and supports Lokeswor Dhyan Gumba at Temal as the founding secretary.
